We are very proud of Estrela's founder, Kristina Dooley, who received the prestigious Katz Award at the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) Conference in Washington D.C this week. Kristina was one of 36 IECA members recognized for their work with pro bono students as part of The Possibility Project in New York City. Congratulations to Kristina and the other award recipients!

Kim Hodges, an IEC on our college planning team, was recently featured in The Day. As an educational professional with more than twenty years of both secondary and collegiate experience, Kim’s main focus has been on helping students to succeed. She works with them to find their “right fit” based on their individual learning styles, academic preparation, and both personal and career goals.

Eliot Sloan, Essay Specialist on our college planning team, is currently developing an anthology of essays by family members of white-collar criminals. Her own memoir was featured in The New York Times "What We're Reading" section this week!

Kristina Dooley, Founder of Estrela Consulting, was recently featured in The Hudson Hub Times for her work with College Now Greater Cleveland, which assists more than 27,000 students each year, delivering college access advising, financial aid counseling, and scholarship and retention services in Greater Cleveland schools, in the College Now Resource Center and through community-based programs.
